Remote IT Project Manager Job DescriptionNote: Must live in the Eastern Time ZoneThis is a fully remote direct hire opportunity with a competitive compensation package offered including unlimited PTO! Candidates must be able to work in the US without Sponsorship or C2C to be considered for this position. This is a M-F Eastern time zone schedule.Key Skills:

• Looking for a Senior Level PM who is hands-on and experienced with strong team leadership skills, communication at all levels, and relationship skills. This PM will be experienced with IT projects.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Software migration/upgrade project experienceThe purpose of this job is to manage IT projects and contribute to standard project management practices used throughout the IT organization. For the role, we are looking for Project Manager candidates with proven experience managing large enterprise technology projects.Remote IT Project Manager Essential Functions
  • Manage IT projects around Software migration/upgrade project experience.
  • Conduct project scoping by analyzing, defining, and understanding business requests, gathering requirements, collecting data and metrics, preparing budgets, defining process flows, performing risk assessment analysis, and gathering time estimates.
  • Participate in meetings to communicate with business and IT team members, provide updates and status, and guidance on standard project management processes.
  • Support and provide input to the ongoing Project roadmap as guided by the Program Manager.
  • Assist the Program Manager by helping identify value-add opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Manage standard project management templates and framework components and participate in the ongoing improvements of these items.
  • Manage risk and risk mitigation plans for assigned projects.Remote IT Project Manager Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology, or related field
    • 5+ years' IT project management experience required.
    • Project Management Professional certification preferred.Remote IT Project Manager Knowledge
      • Knowledge of Agile software development tools and techniques including Scrum and Kanban approaches
      • Working knowledge of programming techniques
      • Knowledge of root cause analysis (RCA) tools, brainstorming tools, and planning tools
      • Knowledge of basic IT structure and roles
      • Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.
