Join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst!
This position is a HYBRID role based out of Maple Plain, MN!
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial leadership role in
steering their business partners toward success. They drive
insightful financial analysis, strategic planning, and meticulous
budgeting. By leading forecasting and reporting efforts, they guide
informed decision-making within the team, ensuring financial health
and facilitating organizational growth.
What You'll Do:
Revenue & Cost Analysis
- Partner with managers and leadership within the organization to
help them understand revenue, cost drivers, and gross margins and
how to plan for future growth.
- Lead and prepare the analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual
results as they compare to past results, current plans, and how
they align with future expectations.
- Analyze operational and financial data to understand the
revenue and cost drivers.
- Develop and deliver key performance indicator (KPI)
tracking.
- Create and manage process to analyze, track, and report on key
initiatives.
Annual Budgeting and Quarterly Forecasting
- Partner with business leaders to gain a better understanding of
investments needed to support the execution of the business
strategy.
- Collaborate with budget owners to build a consolidated
financial plan including headcount and operating expenses and test
for reasonableness.
- Prepare presentations that summarize financial expectations and
key assumptions and how they compare to previous expectations.
Financial Analysis
- Provide financial analysis and information to help partners
make better business decisions.
- Perform financial justifications to support capital
expenditures as well as for new project and product proposals
including scenario modeling and return on investment analysis.
- Analyze and identify opportunities to drive cost savings and/or
utilize capacity and resources more efficiently.
- Other assigned tasks as assignedWhat It Takes:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of progressive experience working in a finance or
accounting role with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and
financial analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Data modeling experience.
- Must be able to work and communicate well within all levels of
the organization.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to change.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a challenging fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion.
- Analytical thinking with an ability to conduct data analysis,
and resolve complex problems.
