We believe our combination of reputation, experience, capital, and relationships lends itself to us becoming a formidable partner, investor, and creator within the renewable energy industry for years to come.The Marketing Manager will be integral to further establishing the Nelnet Renewable Energy brand in the B2B and B2C market and driving increased market share. Your primary roles will be as subject matter expert, strategist, and project manager as you shepherd marketing and business development campaigns from inception to delivery and through to reporting and retooling. An effective Marketing Manager will (1) lead the development and execution of marketing tactics, budgets, and plans across multiple offerings, (2) support the acquisition and stewardship of prospective clients, and (3) nurture existing customers. In support of our goals, you will partner with other marketing and business development professionals across Nelnet and work closely with Nelnets Central Marketing department for the development and deployment of creative assets.The offerings you will be representing are as follows: Net Zero: deploying full-scope carbon neutrality projects for medium- to large-scale institutions including: solar, battery and microgrid services, fleet electrification, energy efficiency measures, heating and cooling system decarbonization, sustainability literacy training, and carbon offsets Tax Equity and Syndication: working with developers and investors to deploy capital into solar development projects Commercial and Industrial Solar Development: developing medium- and large-scale solar projects for commercial and/or industrial clients Rooftop and Residential Solar Development: developing small-scale residential rooftop solar installationsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and tactical plans
  • Oversee the acquisition and lead generation marketing to business-to-business audiences
  • Conduct market research and develop/implement lead nurturing and funnel optimization programs
  • Partner with business development resources to identify customer value propositions, RFP responses, and other marketing collateral
  • Ensure continuity of brand and messaging across initiatives, brands, events, and conferences, with occasional travel
  • Streamline and work closely with creative and production departments to achieve objectives
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of various internal and customer-facing tools (websites & portals, Salesforce CRM, social media, etc.)
  • Effectively allocate budgeted resources in support of marketing plans
  • Identify, measure and report on key metrics to evaluate marketing performance
  • Support the business development leads to prepare materials to promote awareness, education, and familiarity with projects, their timeline(s), value propositions, and next steps with customers
  • Assist with the development of a targeted sales and marketing plan focused on achieving revenue growth and sustainable cashflows within each business unit
  • Assist with the companys growth and focus on sustainability and renewable energy by creating new ways to serve the customer, create value, and grow cash flows within the renewable energy and sustainability spacePay range for this position is: $80k-90k depending on experienceEDUCATION:Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.EXPERIENCE:5 years experience in marketing preferred, preferably business-to-business focus. Preference to those working in renewable energy development or sustainability. Possess an aptitude for partnering and collaborating with colleagues across an organization as well as with strategic partners outside of a company. Skill to immerse oneself into the clients environment.COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
