Responsibilities/Job Description:Fairview Health Services is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN.As a Surgical Technologist, youll assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, arranging, and passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring a sterile environment under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Youll play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team and maintaining the safety and efficiency of the operating room.Our Surg techs work as a part of a strong team and their cases include, but are not limited to, general, dental, ear, nose, and throat, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, open heart, orthopedics, neurology, bariatrics, solid organ transplant, gynecologic, colo-rectal, urology, plastics, and Da Vinci robotics.Schedule: This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours primarily day shift, with occasional evening/night shifts. This position will also work a weekend rotation of approximately one weekend per month.About our OR at UMMC East Bank:The East Bank Campus is a teaching hospital and has 24 newly renovated Operating Rooms.Our Operating Room is performing an average of 60 cases per day.We provide innovative surgical suites, including a hybrid suite and intraoperative MRI suites, for adult patients needing surgical intervention.Our welcoming, accepting team is filled with a wide variety of personalities who are all kind and help foster our family-like atmosphere.
