Mayo Clinic's Midwest Radiation Oncology department is seeking passionate medical physicists to join our dynamic team at our two linac external beam hospital site in Eau Claire, WI. Analyzes and evaluates equipment performance used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Provides technical assistance and clinical support to Consultant staff and Allied health personnel as needed at the regional practice. Provides cross-coverage to other regional sites, which includes travel to other regional practice sites as staffing warrants. Remains current in all treatment techniques and applicable medical physics practice relevant to the regional site. Provides instruction to residents, dosimetry staff, therapy staff, pre- and postdoctoral students. Develops, and performs quality assurance procedures and monitors radiation output, mechanical integrity and safety of equipment used in radiation therapy. Remains current on Federal, State, and Institutional safety guidelines in particular applicable at the regional site.QualificationsM.S., M.M.P., D.M.P., or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a master's and/or doctoral degree in Physics or a related field. American Board of Radiology, Therapeutic Medical Physics certification or equivalent.
