packageJob DescriptionThe Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine will
provide visionary leadership to System, advancing the department to
a Category of One in clinical excellence, operational efficiency,
and research and education impact. Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement the Cardiovascular Medicine department
strategic plan, ensuring alignment with institutional goals Oversee
operational, clinical, and financial performance across sites and
regions Standardize best practices and optimize the quality and
safety of patient care Provide inspirational leadership for
physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff, including
recruitment, mentoring, coaching, and succession planning Foster
research and education initiatives within the department Promote
staff well-being, engagement, and a culture of recognition and
inclusion Establish and maintain a regular onsite presence to
support team engagement and model valuesQualifications MD or DO
with board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine Successful
leadership experience in academic medicine or community healthcare
Associate professor or professor level preferred, with ongoing
academic activity Proven track record in team building, strategic
planning, and enhancing cardiovascular services Strong
communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Experience or
interest in implementing AI, digital health solutions, and research
trials in cardiovascular medicine is strongly preferred
