Pediatrics - Pulmonology - Physician - Academics at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital - University of Minnesota Physicians summary: Academic pediatric pulmonologist position (Assistant/Associate Professor) providing inpatient and outpatient clinical care for children with congenital and acquired respiratory diseases, sleep disorders, and related conditions. Responsibilities include clinical care, bronchoscopy and subspecialty management (CF, asthma, ILD, pulmonary hypertension, neuromuscular respiratory disease), and teaching/training fellows, residents, and medical students. Position is with University of Minnesota Physicians/University of Minnesota, requires ACGME fellowship completion and board eligibility/certification, licensure/DEA, and offers competitive salary and benefits. The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Pulmonologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on an academic track. Position Highlights: The Pediatric Pulmonologist will be appointed on the Academic Track where they will provide clinical expertise in the care of children with congenital and acquired airway & lung disease, and in control of breathing (apnea) both in hospital and outpatient clinic settings. In addition, the candidate will train learners (fellows, residents, and medical students). S/he will complement existing clinical expertise in bronchoscopy, cystic fibrosis care, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary complications of childhood cancer therapies, pulmonary hypertension, sleep medicine, pulmonary manifestations of neuromuscular disorders and exercise physiology. Additionally, the candidate is encouraged to develop clinical activities in an area of their choosing that brings another dimension of expertise to the Division. The candidate will collaborate with all areas of the Department involved in the care of children with congenital and acquired pulmonary disease and with HCMC. About the Division: The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine discovers and delivers outstanding medical care, enabling children with respiratory disease to lead a full life. Our mission is to prevent respiratory disease and improve the health of infants, children, and young adults with respiratory disease through research, education, and clinical care. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric Pulmonology residency and/or fellowship-training program Board eligible/certified Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in asthma, particularly in minority populations, lower SES, and persons of color Pay and Benefits: This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $181,250 - $275,500 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired. M Physicians provides the following benefits: Substantial 401K employer contribution.
