Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Marshfield, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,144 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable shifts (Days and Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of ICU experience - 1 year of travel experience - Cerner experience Description: The ICU unit has 16 beds. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1 for higher acuity patients. Common diagnoses include respiratory, stroke, neuro, GI, and cardiac conditions. Registered nurses are required to titrate drips. Common titratable and set rate drips include all ICU drips, propofol, precedex, and vasopressors. The charge nurse does not take assignments. There is one nurse aide on the unit to support nursing staff. Two pulmonologists are in-house for attending duties during the day, each with a team of residents. There is a respiratory therapist in the ICU 24/7. Available respiratory therapy equipment includes vents, BiPAP, CPAP, vapotherm, trachs, and nitric. Registered nurses are required to read their own telemetry strips and must be proficient in rhythm interpretation. Shifts are from 0700 to 1930 and 1900 to 0730. Self-scheduling is permitted, but those participating will be last to input their hours. Weekend requirements include either every other weekend or every third weekend based on scheduling needs. Holiday requirements include working every other holiday or more if willing. There is no call or standby requirement. Agency staff are the first to float to like units or serve as patient observers within the hospital. Dress code requires clean and professional attire, without specific color requirements. One-day hospital orientation and two-day unit orientation are provided. If applicable, it must be noted if the clinician has previously worked in this setting and that their end date must be 6 months prior to current submission.
