your future. Responsibilities This Research Fellow in Engineering
(ENG) position focuses on the intersection of artificial
intelligence, cardiovascular imaging and clinical research. The
researcher will develop innovative deep learning methods for the
analysis of cardiovascular disease by integrating (multimodal)
image data, textual and clinical data to enhance patient risk
stratification, diagnosis, treatment or prognosis. The work will
also focus on the development of trustworthy AI models to
facilitate their clinical translation. Key responsibilities include
- Development and (large-scale) evaluation of novel deep learning
algorithms for the analysis of medical images - Exploring methods
that extract information from clinical reports and images - Working
in a multidisciplinary team of scientists and clinicians -
Publishing in leading scientific journals and conferences -
Applying for research grants Qualifications - PhD degree in
Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or
a closely related field - Strong background in medical image
analysis and deep learning demonstrated by a publication
track-record is required - Experience in cardiovascular image
analysis is an advantage - Proficiency in Phyton and major machine
learning frameworks is required - Excellent communication skills
and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team - Highly motivated
and independent A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary
position intended to provide training and education in research.
Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic
principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the
potential for research as evidenced by their training and
peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for
national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required
for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors,
Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
