Job Description:
Description: Cowboy Jacks in Altoona employs quality staff
members that can respect and work well with other team members and
management. Executing food safety standards. Along with key recipes
and food cost controls. Responsibilities for Line Cook Prepare
ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
Perform portion control, and portioning standards. Ensure that all
dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at
work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery and
ticket times. Good communication skills, and teamwork. Organized
and with a sense of urgency. Maintain a clean work station area,
including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves. Handles, stores,
and rotates all product to standards. Comply with applicable
sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards Ensure quality and
freshness of ingredients and products Perform additional tasks as
assigned by the line supervisor, or managerRequirements:
Qualifications for Line Cook Must be able to stand well placed
mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Ability to carry 0-40 pounds
on a regular basis, throughout the shift. Understanding of cooking
methods and procedures, and knife handling skills Ability to
perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail Ability
to read and follow cooking directions Ability to remain calm in a
fast-paced environment Must be organized and self-motivated
Requires grasping. Standing, walking, repetitive motions, hearing
ability, and visual acuity through out the shift.
