and matching giftsTHE JOB: The Software Engineering Manager is
responsible for development, testing, and deployment of embedded
firmware, computer applications, mobile apps, and cloud-based tools
for Realityworks' educational solutions and delivery systems. This
position manages the internal software development team, providing
technical direction, prioritizing team activities, developing the
team, and managing their workload. This position also coordinates
with consultants and other external partners to establish
development standards, integrate work, and expand the ability of
the team to continually deliver a variety of innovative new
educational products.RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyzes requirements,
technology, and available resources to plan and assess the
feasibility of projects, including initial schedule and budget
estimatesCollaborates with engineering, marketing, and other
stakeholders to convert marketing requirements into actionable
project specifications and engineering deliverablesDefines
architecture of large software projects, breaks work into
manageable functional blocks, and communicates work requirements to
the appropriate development resourceOversees work completed by both
the internal team and third-party business partners, contractors,
and suppliers, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and deliverables
are completed to plan and according to company standardsDevelops
and implements policies, standards and procedures for engineering
and technical work performed both internally and externallyPerforms
design and code reviews with developersWrites and maintains
codeParticipates in user testing, gathers information from
consumers, and captures resultsMaintains backups and sandbox
systemsWrites status reports, specifications, work instructions,
and other engineering documentationMaintains bugs reporting and
source code control systemsEnsures that products meet necessary
regulatory requirements for domestic and key international
marketsMaintains current knowledge of trends and shifts in
technology utilized by the company to understand advantages and
limitations of tools and technology available to the design
teamLeads, mentors, and motivates a highly technical team,
including work assignments, professional development, and
performance assessmentQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
technical field10+ years of relevant professional software
development experienceWorking knowledge of programming languages:
C#, Xamarin, XOJO, C/C++WORK LOCATION: This is a hybrid position,
splitting time between working from a home office and working
