Hope is Hiring. This is a full-time non-exempt position with a
competitive benefits package. The hiring range is
$19.23-$20.19/hour depending on experience. Job Summary: The
Warehouse Technician will work under the supervision of the
Operations Manager to ensure day-to-day warehouse operations and
responsibilities are carried out and fulfilled. They will be
responsible for order selection, inventory movement and tracking,
warehouse organization, operational support of volunteer groups and
all shipping/receiving activities. This role will also be
accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the
warehouse. This position’s shift will operate between the hours of
7am and 4pm Monday through Friday, dependent on the day’s
activities, with some flexibility. Minimal evening and weekend work
may be required. Core Job Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
Learn and become proficient on the basic aspects of the Warehouse
Management System (WMS) to maintain, record, and manage an accurate
inventory. Utilize a WMS to assure product is handled appropriately
by maintaining inventory policies and procedures. Work closely with
staff to ensure operational support of program and volunteer
activities. Pick and organize orders for all our programs. Stage
and verify the accuracy of outbound orders. Help ensure warehouse
meets all safety standards. Ensure all areas within the warehouse
are kept clean and meet regulatory guidelines. Help ensure all
equipment and building infrastructure is in good order and working
properly. Follow procedures to assist in the preservation of
equipment and reduce property damage within the warehouse. Make
recommendations for equipment needs, program improvements, and
cost-savings for the organization. Foster collaboration and
communication across all departments within the organization. Work
with the Operations Manager on general duties assuring the up-keep,
maintenance of the facility and grounds year-round. Other duties as
assigned by your supervisor. Position Requirements: A. Minimum
Education and Experience Experience in warehousing or related field
is preferred. Experience with a Warehouse Management System is
preferred Experience in the use of power equipment such as
forklifts, pallet jacks, bailing machine in a warehouse setting or
the ability to be trained to use such equipment. Experience using
scanning devices to record and track inventory preferred B. Skills,
Knowledge, and Abilities Demonstrated commitment to our core
mission. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to work with
people from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to
effectively communicate in a verbal and written manner. Ability to
understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Basic computer skills Excellent relationship and problem-solving
skills. Ability to be punctual and dependable. Ability to manage
time effectively, prioritize and meet deadlines. All employees must
pass a pre-employment background study Working Conditions and
Environment: This position is in a warehouse setting. The building
is accessible and smoke free. This position works during standard
business hours. The person employed in this position must be able
to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds and operate warehouse
