Job Description:

SUMMARY: To provide quality food and maintain a safe, organized work area. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Greet guests, answer questions, offer suggestions and take food and beverage orders
? Prepare food, operate a meat slicer and ensure the quality, quantity and timeliness of product
? Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents accurately
? Prepare vegetables, meats and cheeses and restock other items ensuring a sufficient supply throughout shift
? Make sure work areas are stocked following food storage, rotation, spoilage and prevention of cross-contamination procedures
? Clean equipment, work areas and dining room and lock equipment at the end-of-day
? Maintain a safe, organized and clean work area and conform to Indian Health Standards

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
? 1 year guest service experience

Preferred:
? 1-year cash handling experience

Skills
Required:
? Accurate and detail-oriented
? Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
? Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Abilities
Required:
? Ability to work fast and efficiently
? Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
? Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
? Ability to enthusiastically and professionally up-sell food and beverage products
? Ability to work in other food and beverage outlets (including outdoors)
? Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
? Ability to learn proper equipment usage

RESTRICTIONS
? Must be 18 years of age or older to operate and clean the meat slicer

REQUIRED TRAINING
? Treasure Island guest service training
? TIPS training and certification
? Bloodborne Pathogens training
? Point-of-sales cash register training
? Treasure Island food handling procedures
? Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
? Must be able to walk and / or stand for periods and exert fast-paced mobility for period of up to 8 hours
? Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
? Must be able to reach and twist routinely
? Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
? Must have the ability to independently lift up to 40 pounds routinely
? Must have manual dexterity necessary to operate a meat slicer
? Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
? Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
? Work is performed in the restaurant area near the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest events
? Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
? Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
? Occasionally overtime may be required
? Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
? High volume direct public contact
