Job Description:
Starting Wage: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour!Shift Details:2nd Shift:
Mondays - Thursdays; 4:30 pm - 3:50 amFabricator Welders employed
at Veritas Steel's Eau Claire location are responsible for
grinding, drilling, and fabrication of bridge girder components;
which may include welding operations, assembly operations, painting
operations, clean-up, and miscellaneous tasks assigned. They can
meet high production demands promptly and complete high-quality
work with expertise. Fabricator Welders also adhere to company
policies to ensure a safe working environment.Principle Duties and
Responsibilities:By using proper safety, building some of the most
iconic bridge projects in AmericaWork alongside and learn from some
of the most skilled steel fabricators in the countryDrill, install
high-strength bolts and grind steel componentsProduce fillet and
groove welds using the SMAW, SAW, and FCAW processesMaintain a
clean, organized work areaParticipate in continual improvement
activitiesRead and interpret blueprintsKnowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:High School diploma or GED1+ year of fabrication or
welding experience a plusCommitment to work safety and actively
participating in our safety cultureCommitment to attendance policy
and proceduresQuality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability of
work performedWillingness to learn and contribute to the success of
your teamPhysical Requirements:Able to lift 50+ lbs.Must be able to
push /move objects up to 50 lbs. of forcePulling requirements up to
122 lbs. of forceNecessary to stand, walk, stoop, and kneel up to
66% of shiftMust have a good range of motion when reaching forward,
shoulder to overhead, and bendingAgile fingers and thumbs on both
handsWorking Conditions: Work is performed indoors in a large
warehouse or outside in all weather conditionsThere is regular
exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy
steel & other possible hazardous conditionsSafety glasses, hearing
protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required;
