around the world.General Summary: The Sr. Application Developer -
Manufacturing Execution Systemsis a key, senior-level team member,
providing technical leadership, oversight, excellence, and
innovation for all Greenheck Operational Systems and all forms and
functions of Operational Technology, including Application
Development.The successful candidate will have the ability to think
and plan at a strategic level and have the technical expertise and
communication skills needed to set the technical strategy for
Operational Technology throughout the organization. This will
include analysis of complex issues, evaluation and selection of
existing and new SAP or non-SAP technologies, and leadership of
cross-functional teams to meet or exceed users' requirements.This
position is designed to assemble strategic insights within the
Information Technology group. This position will also provide
technical leadership in the analysis, design, development,
documenting, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of
current systems / applications / hardware to enable new innovative
solutions within the operations environment. This is a hybrid role,
some travel to Schofield, WI would be required.Principal Duties &
Responsibilities: Technical Excellence and InnovationProvides
leadership in the areas of ideation, innovation, design,
architecture, integration, and execution of Operation Technology
initiatives Acts as a consultant to provide input to evaluate and
recommend appropriate new automation technologies/solutions for the
organizationPartners with the business to design the solution
architecture for integrating automation technology into the core
transactional systemsWorks in conjunction with other architects,
leads and management to define our Operational Technology
roadmapDevelops and tests working prototypes when appropriate to
prove valueRemains knowledgeable of current technology and carries
out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve
maximum resultsMeets with developers, users, analysts, project
leaders and management to discuss and plan guidelines and criteria
for development of a system/application, project plan, and/or
timelines related to Operational TechnologyInteracts and exchanges
ideas with project managers and other members of the team to arrive
at the best designs and solutionsAbility to understand the
root-cause of complex problems, research and propose possible
solutions both in scope of Greenheck systems and other available
technologyAbility to lead a group through the
designing/building/testing of technology solutionsAbility to manage
large or multiple projects. Research and recommend project
management best practices to the organization. Ability to develop
project budgets, resource plans, and involved in fiscal year
project planningDevelops and maintains effective working
relationships with all levels of Operations; gains in-depth
knowledge of operations system needs and provides insight into the
design and implementation of technology solutionsMonitors best
practices and industry trends; participates in professional
associations as well as informal peer networkingOwns the
Application Development program across multiple platforms (best
practices, processes, tools, etc.); Works closely with Delivery
Managers to drive excellenceProvides mentorship to all Application
DevelopersDevelops, maintains, and manages the Application
Portfolio for Operational TechnologyManages the risk associated
with the Application Portfolio and develops plans to
mitigateCarries out other technology-related duties that may be
requiredTeam SupportTroubleshoots complex application issues and
provides debugging support as neededCreates and updates application
coding and documentation standards and makes recommendations for
new methodologies. Trains others on standardsWorks with the
development team and managers to define and ensure adherence to
development area processes and best practice standardsProvides
mentorship and coaching to other development and technical
staffProvides input regarding development team performance and
helps to identify member's strengths and weaknesses and assists in
identifying tasks, training, and mentorship accordingly to help
achieve maximum results and deliveryJob Qualifications:Ability to
manage and participate in IT Operational initiatives using an agile
methodology to deliver system enhancementsAssociate degree with a
minimum of 10 years of related work experience or a four-year
degree with a minimum of 8 years of related work experienceStrong
critical thinking and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with
Operations business functions - Engineering and Manufacturing10+
years of experience in or supporting of operations systems is
strongly preferredStrong communication and facilitation skills;
ability to translate technology impact into business terminology so
business customers at all levels can understandStrong knowledge of
Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation concepts and
technologiesStrong knowledge of Application Development and
Automation Integration technologiesSolid understanding of best
practices in business application design and developmentProven
project management skillsStrong ability to successfully deliver in
a changing environment while handling multiple tasks
simultaneouslyAbility to work in a collaborative team
environment.Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong
cross-functional relationships across an organization to achieve
