2nd Shift starting at $23.40!Shifts Available:2nd Shift: Mondays - Thursdays; 4:30pm - 3:50amGeneral Laborers employed at Veritas Steel's Eau Claire location are responsible for assisting in the Industrial Paint Department; including shop clean-up, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. They assist with operating paint equipment and use paint and blast profile gauges. Industrial Paint General Laborers also help apply primers and finishing coats to achieve the desired outcome. They must be able to meet high production demands in a timely manner and complete high-quality work with expertise. Principle Duties & Responsibilities:Apply coatings to fabricated material while adhering to code requirements and guidelinesAssist with setup and operation of equipment necessary to coat fabricated material as required by job specificationsUse proper safety equipment, paint equipment, paint, and thinners, and assure that surfaces are adequately prepared for painting all operationsMaintain shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety Coordinates with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defectsAdhere to safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and surrounding coworkers Performs other related duties, as assigned, to maintain a steady flow of products through the shop and to ensure an efficient and effective work environmentKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:High School Diploma or equivalentCommitment to working safely and actively participating in our safety cultureCommitment to attendance policy and proceduresQuality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability of work performedWillingness to learn and contribute to the success of your teamThe ability to work with and communicate well with othersMaintain quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and reliability of work performedPhysical Requirements:Able to lift 40 lbs. and carry 30 lbs.Must be able to push /move objects up to 50 lbs. of forcePulling requirements up to 122 lbs. of forceNecessary to stand, walk, stoop, and kneelMust have a good range of motion when reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bendingWorking Conditions: Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditionsThere is regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel & other possible hazardous conditionsSafety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; a respirator is required for specific operations PI201805250
