- - - - - - - - - Provide services such as toe nail trims, ear cleaning, suture removal, anal gland expression and draw blood
- - - - - - - - - Properly restrain patients for examination or treatments
- - - - - - - - - Clean room after use
- - - - - - - - - Stocking supplies (syringes, vaccines, brochures, handouts, etc) and instruments
LABORATORY AND PHARMACY:
- - - - - - - - - Collect blood from jugular, cephalic, and saphenous veins
- - - - - - - - - Collect and run all routine lab tests
o - - CBC machine
o - - Chemistry analyzer
o - - Fecal
o - - Urine
o - - Ear cytology
o - - Generate lab requests
o - - Feline leukemia/FIV
o - - Parvo test kit
o - - Giardia test kit
o - - Skin scrapes
HOSPITALIZATION AND TREATMENTS
- - - - - - - - - Provide injections, collect sampled and perform treatments and procedures per veterinarian instructions
- - - - - - - - - Read and interpret patient chart, perform required treatments and procedures and follow veterinarian's orders accurately
RADIOLOGY
- - - - - - - - - Position patient for x-rays
- - - - - - - - - Set up of x-ray equipment, measuring patient, machine settings, exposure technique, computer set-up and use of proper protective equipment
- - - - - - - - - Keeping radiology area clean and neat
SURGERY
- - - - - - - - - Know and use appropriate safety precautions for gas anesthesia
- - - - - - - - - Prepare patients for routine surgeries with pre-anesthetics, clipping, aseptic scrub and proper monitoring devices.
- - - - - - - - - Administer pre-anesthetic injection, calculate injectable anesthesia, IV catheter placement, induce anesthesia, intubate and
- - - - - - - - - prepare patients for routine surgeries. Monitor and recover patients.
- - - - - - - - - Scrub in to assist with surgery at the doctor's request
- - - - - - - - - Clean, pack and sterilize surgical instruments
- - - - - - - - - Call clients when surgeries are completed.
- - - - - - - - - Dentistry-Perform scaling, polishing and charting of teeth.
- - - - - - - - - Complete all paperwork involved with surgery (medical notes, discharge instructions, billing, etc)
- - - - - - - - - Know how to set up surgical monitors and cleaning protocol
OFFICE DUTIES
- - - - - - - - - Phones-answering calls and making appointments
- - - - - - - - - Computers-comfortable with cornerstone (making appts, invoicing, medical notes, etc)
- - - - - - - - - Invoicing/Estimates
- - - - - - - - - Checking in appointments
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

- - - - - - - - - Attend and participate in all staff meetings
- - - - - - - - - Assist emotional or grieving clients without undue stress
- - - - - - - - - Perform other related duties as directed by the doctors, head technician and practice manager
