Job Description:

Volt is immediately hiring Lab Tech I with a well-known industry leader in Maplewood, MN.

In this role you will perform operational tasks including post-processing, laser cutting, and assisting in operating a variety of 3D printers to rapidly create quality prototypes for internal customers.

As a Lab Tech I you will:
Conduct testing by following test methods and standard operating procedures for sample preparation, physical/mechanical performance, weathering, and polymer property/rheology tests.
Clear communication of results and participation in team and experiment planning activities
Maintain orderly lab area, perform basic maintenance for laboratory equipment, especially for our microscope apparatus

This is a first shift position.

Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to do hands on work, technical/engineering background.
Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
Preferred/soft skills:
Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred.
Customer-first mindset, CAD experience
Ability to do hands on work, technical/engineering background.
2-year/associates degree


Pay Rate: $24.42 per hour
