Job Description Job Description Cadrex is searching for a Quality Technician I to directly support our manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Release product for shipping by ensuring proper documentation/certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements Understand and apply basic GD&T concepts Proficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts Provide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation/development of manufacturing related documentation and providing or teaching proper measuring techniques Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at receiving as outlined by the process Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics Program and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment proficiently Attend department meetings as required Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1 years working preferably in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection or an equivalent combination of education and experience Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software and the use of the Internet Certification as a Quality Technician preferred Programming for FARO and Micro-Vu Measurement Equipment desired EDUCATION Associate degree in related field preferred
