Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other
duties may be assigned): Administer client medications and
documents accordingly. Maintain current knowledge of house and
client activities. Transport clients to and from appointments,
intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, etc. Ensure all passengers in
the vehicle are compliant, safe, and non-volatile. Plan work tasks
to coincide with programming requirements. Set priorities in
monitoring clients, making house rounds, documentation of pertinent
information and completion of other assignments. Highly dependable
and can be counted on to work independently, having the ability to
work with little direction. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of
program philosophy and policies and procedures, 245G requirements,
house operations, including client rights and confidentiality.
Assist counselors with intake/admission procedures, orientation of
new clients and co-workers. Encourage clients to achieve their
goals by functioning as a positive role model. Participate in
client recreational activities with a positive attitude. Serve as a
resource for clients through knowledge of services and
opportunities in the community. Documentation of client information
in the communications log and completion of other forms.
Objectively document client related topics in client files and
communication logs. Be diplomatic and exhibiting sensitivity toward
other staff and client’s feelings, needs, values, and opinions.
Complete clerical assignments such as faxing, copying programming
materials, stocking packets/forms, typing documents in Word and
updating Excel spreadsheets. Assist in food preparation, and
household cleaning duties as needed. Adhere to attendance and
absence policies. Punctual in reporting for work and shift change
reports. Participate in rotational and/or off-shift schedules,
including a holiday rotation schedule, as applicable. Able to work
additional hours/off-shift as needed. Requirements: Valid Driver’s
License with acceptable driving record CPR/First Aid Certification
or attain within 30 days of employment Must be able to pass a
background check Knowledge of all MN Statutes related to providing
services for the population NBHN serves, and willingness to learn,
understand, and carry out regulations with integrity Must
understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy Must be at
least 18 years old. Proficient computer skills, including knowledge
in MS Office, and Google Suite programs
