Overview and Responsibilities:
ALMOST 7 WEEKS OF PAID TIME OFF ANNUALLY! Plus: sick leave,

allows for a flex remote work capacity whereby time is spent in a
remote setting as well as on-campus as needed to meet job
responsibilities. Work placement, remote and on-site, is determined
based upon the needs of the College. -Remote work parameters are
subject to CVTC guidelines, handbook, and specific individual
department workplace expectations. -The Application Systems
Administrator is responsible for analyzing, modifying, and managing
assigned software applications. This position is also responsible
for maintaining IT documentation, providing technical support
services, detailed operational design and development, and
strategic area planning as directed by the ERP Database
Administrator. This position reports to the Director of Enterprise
Applications. -Responsibilities:Provide technical support for
software implementation and administration in areas of
responsibility.Provide detailed operational and business systems
analysis and design for on-going business process improvement and
strategic projects. Complete all programming and testing as
necessary to complete projects.Provide training to power users in
areas of responsibility to increase the business users
understanding of the system.Analyze and understand the operational
aspects of applications and how they relate to each other for areas
of responsibility.Continually monitor emerging technology trends in
areas of responsibility so they can quickly adapt to new
technology/business changes.Create and maintain IT technical
documentation.Work closely with technical consultants in the
enhancement of technology.Support efforts to promote excellence
through continuous process improvement and the creative pursuit of
new ideas, partnerships, and systems.Collaborate with team members
to support projects and share knowledge of systems.Recommend
solutions to business processes that minimize
customizations.Continually learn emerging technologies and stay
current with research in applications supporting. -Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Windows and Linux
operating systems, Automic Applications Manager, Ellucian Banner,
Cognos, Evisions, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, OpenText, and
Microsoft SharePoint.Entry level knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle
database administration.Knowledge of scripting languages.Ability to
work effectively in a team environment.Ability to create and follow
a detailed software design methodology.Ability to model integrity
through self-awareness, personal accountability, ethical behavior,
quality standards, and sustainable practices.Ability to think
critically by applying problem solving practices, acquiring
relevant information, using technology and other resources
appropriately, and evaluating alternatives.Ability to communicate
effectively by speaking and writing clearly, concisely, and
professionally; practicing active listening; reading critically and
adapting communication for audience.Ability to value diversity by
recognizing personal biases, adapting to culturally diverse
situations, and demonstrating a commitment to equity, inclusion,

cultural, social-economic, or educational backgrounds.Advanced
knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs
for communication, data collection, and decision making including,
but not limited to, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field,
bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in
information technology application management.Experience with
Ellucian Banner, Microsoft Dynamics, and Microsoft SharePoint
